Dr. Caleb Tang was blessed to grow up in sunny Southern California and attended college locally at the University of California, Irvine. Yes, he was an anteater. He majored in biology in hopes of one day entering the medical field. That dream was fulfilled when Dr. Tang was accepted to study optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry. During the summer between his first and second year of training, Dr. Tang took the unique opportunity to be part of a medical mission trip to El Salvador with some of his classmates. The team provided free eye exams and glasses at orphanages and free clinics. After obtaining his Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Tang gained valuable experience working at various offices before he joined Dr. Scheffel's Eye Care Center in September 2015. He always tries to get to know his patients, and his goal is to treat every patient like family.

In his free time, Dr. Tang enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, visiting local national parks, hiking and eating out.
